Meet The Therapists
Tametra Johnson, LCSW
My name is Tametra Johnson and I am the founder of Jacobs Ladder Therapies. I grew up in the Bay Area and personally struggled with mental illness as a teenager which led me to a career helping teens. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years experience working with teens and mental health. I specialize in addressing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, academic stress, divorce/co-parenting issues, and parent-child conflict. I have also counseled adults who are struggling with family communication issues, stress and mental health issues. I’ve worked with parents who are working to support their children through substance abuse and divorce.

I specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and have extensive training for the prodromal (early-psychosis) assessment among teens. With a bi-cultural background and fluency in Mandarin, I thrive to advocate for the Asian families that are struggling with generational conflicts, validation, and self-care.
